Last weekend was awesome. I had a stand at the dutch fantasy event 'Midwinter Fair / Yule Fest in Archeon. It was really cool to be there with my own products and creations.
The event started on saturday, but we could built up the stand on friday. it was relaxing knowing we had all the time of the world to get the stand ready. The wheater was alright. We saw sun, but also rain. All the market stands were placed in a huge tent, so it didn't really matter that it rained now and then. There even was heating, so it was warm as well.
I had a lot of stuff with me. I was actually surprised we could get everything in the car. My husband is a master tetris player haha. I notice we get quicker in building the stand up and breaking it down. I guess it's a matter of experience.
I am really happy with the outcome of the stand:
Since it was a winter themed event, I took some winter decoration with me. Lights, snowflakes, pine cones, holly and wooden decor. I also pyrographed two wooden boards to display necklaces.
I had some new products with me as well. First of all I would like to mention my new illustrated button badges/pins. I wanted to do 'something' with buttons/pins for a long time now. I worked really hard to release them at this event and I am very happy that I was able to do so.
I also took sketchbooks with me with hand illustrated covers. All within a nature/moon theme.
I secretly hoped that I could make a new postcard design. I made a new design inspired by the moon and with the quote 'we are stars wrapped in skin, the light you've been searching has always be within'. I took this illustration with me as a postcard and also as a print.
It was hard work to make enough jewelry and other products for this fair. I had a 4 meter stand to fill, so I really needed enough stock.
