I love the beginning of spring. Days get longer and night shorter. The earth awakens and all the flowers get to grow. I made this Ostara illustration. It was nice to be able to finish a full color illustration again. I enjoyed making it :).Lees verder/continue reading
This year I participated again with inktober. During October I tried to make an ink illustration each day. Because I had some important deadlines in October, I already new an illustration each day wouldn't be possible, but I gave it my best shot :).
I knew I wanted to work with a theme again and I already knew the theme for a long time. On Pinterest I collected lots of information about witchy themes. With Pinterest Boards as 'Stones & Meaning' and ‘Plants, Flowers & Herbs’ my theme for this year was 'Witchy Vibes', focusing on 'everything magical.' I also found some interesting books that formed the base of my information resources. For example ‘The Green Witch’ & ‘The illustrated Herbiary'.
2017, what a year! It feels like it happened while I flashed with my eyes. From something that has been a hobby to something that starts to look like a company. I found solutions for existing problems and I found new
problems challenges to take care of. There were awesome moments and not so awesome moments. From happily working on orders to feeling frustrated about situations and problems that found me along the way. 2017 was a eventful year.
This was for me the third year I participated the Inktober challenge. In this blog I look back on the month October and Inktober.
Inktober; 31 illustration with ink, every day one illustration. that's the idea. A huge chance to practice your drawing skills, that's for sure. it's also very heavy, it takes a lot of your time, but I decided to participate again anyway.

This mermaid sketch is the one I wanted to color:Lees verder/continue reading

When I create patterns just for my portfolio, I can chose the subjects myself. I love Halloween, so I decided to design a pattern with a Halloween/Autumn genre.Lees verder/continue reading

2016 is coming to an end. What a year it has been! With this article I take a look back at the happenings of past year.
Since I followed the course ‘illustration, digital and analog’ I know how I can make patterns. I find it a lot of fun to make them :). Sadly I didn’t had the time to make new ones lately. A few weeks ago I was just sketching some leaves and it occurred to me the elements would be perfect for a pattern. So I took my sketches and made them into line-art. After that I choose a color pallet I gave it color.Lees verder/continue reading
