Jewelry, new techniques and experiments

I’m working hard to expand my products. I’m proud at what I do and I like to make new designs. The marble technique is a great technique that can be used in many different designs. I really like that!

‘Fantasy’ stays the main theme in all my designs. I keep trying to find new designs were I can use the marble technique.

Besides marbling I am also experimenting with complete other techniques. On Facebook I showed some of this new techniques, but not really much. One of the new techniques I am experimenting with is clay. Recently I did a first attempt and I made a feather bracelet:

You can do so much with clay. You can mold clay, shaping and cutting it into shapes you want. Even the marble technique is usable with clay. It offers many opportunities

Another technique I really like is wire or wire-wrapping. Jewelry designs made from metal wire. On Internet you can find the most beautiful wire jewelry designs. I think the ‘Tree of Life’ is the most famous together with the bird’s nest (although I like the fantasy version ‘Dragon egg nest’ better). I have already tried the dragons nest a few times now, but the technique takes quite some time to master. Fortunately offer several tutorials on the internet a helping hand.

I need to practice a lot more to master this technique. By those two attempst of the dragon nests I think the wire is to thin on the green one, but to thick on the blue one. Next time I will use a wire thread that has a thickness in between.

You probably will see more of this technique soon.
