I love dragons and everything about them. A little while ago I saw something that I had to try; handmade dragon eggs. They are the perfect fantasy home decoration. I love making textures for illustrations and jewellery. Just sitting at my desk and make a mess with paint and other materials. When I try to discover new texturetechnique it’s just a matter of trying,trying and some more trying. Experimenting is the only way to find out if a texture works for jewellery designs. When I started drawing as a child, I always used pencils and markers. After a while I also started experimenting with watercolor pencils. Quickly after that I bought Derwent pencils, Faber Castel pencils and Copic Markers. I love bright colors and color contrasts and those tree materials are perfect for that. The last few days I worked on a collage of the four seasons. Since I’ve been testing the ‘twirl tool’ in Illustrator, I found it a good excuse to use it in this project. The background I made in Photoshop with a chalk brush and a marble texture, the rest is made in illustrator.

For my drawings I’ve never really worked wit a computer before. I thought I was more of a paper-pencil kind of artist, but maybe it’s an idea to give it a try. As a practice I choose the subject dreams and nightmares to make two illustrations.
